Rules and Regulations

*All inquiries on 1 in 2 Odds are to be made to the licensee prior to the purchase of ticket(s). By purchasing a ticket, the purchaser acknowledges that he/she has read, understands and agrees to the rules.  Any and all inquiries on the conduct, prizing and procedures of the Lottery are to be made to the Foundation prior to purchase of the ticket. Tickets cannot be purchased in the name of a minor.  Purchases are limited to persons 18 years of age or older.  Tickets must be purchased in Ontario and cannot be mailed outside of Ontario.

SickKids Lottery

There will be 136,395 tickets printed in the SickKids Lottery (129,900 will be available for sale, 6,495 will be awarded as prizes).  All tickets will be issued in sequential order. The total number of prizes to be awarded is 55,913. The total value of all prizes is $4,492,751.06 (inclusive of all applicable taxes and freight). Only ticket(s) that have been paid for, and have been verified as paid for, or won as prizes, are eligible for respective draws. In the event of an invalid cheque or credit card payment, ticket(s) issued will be considered void, and you will be notified in writing.  Tickets are 1 for $100, 2 for $150, 3 for $195, 4 for $250, 10 for $500 and 20 for $900.

50/50 Draw

One prize will be awarded in the 50/50 Draw portion of the SickKids Lottery.  The total value of the prize drawn is dependent on the total number of tickets sold.  The minimum payout value of the prize drawn is $250,000.  Prize is tax-exempt.  Ticket purchases are not tax deductible.   Tickets are 3 for $10, 15 for $25 and 50 for $50.  The total tickets available in the 50/50 Draw will be unlimited. 

50/50 Draw tickets can only be ordered in conjunction with SickKids Lottery tickets.  50/50 Draw tickets will not be accepted without the purchase of an original SickKids Lottery ticket order.  50/50 Draw tickets can be ordered separately by calling 1-866-884-5437 or 1-647-426-4612 provided that a SickKids Lottery ticket has previously been ordered and validated.  Should an original SickKids Lottery ticket order become invalid, any and all 50/50 Draw tickets associated with that original SickKids Lottery ticket order will become invalid as a direct result. 

Group Purchase Program is applied to groups of tickets ordered online using a group URL, phone using group ID, and by mail, fax and in person (at The Hospital for Sick Children) using the group order form.  The Hospital for Sick Children and SickKids Foundation assume no responsibility whatsoever for the entitlement of any prize to any group or group member other than the Direct Purchaser or for the accuracy of any of the information at any time contained on the SickKids Group Purchase Program order form.    The Direct Purchaser is defined as the person who pays directly for their ticket(s) by credit card, cheque, or money order and is verified as the Direct Purchaser by Deloitte LLP. The Group Purchase Program has been refreshed, permitting group members to pay individually for their ticket(s).  In the event that a winning ticket is held in more than one name, it is the responsibility, and at the discretion, of the Direct Purchaser to share winning information and prizes with those other persons whose names are also listed on the Group Purchase Program order form.

Tickets may be ordered by mail, phone, fax, in person (at The Hospital for Sick Children), or online at www.SickKidsLottery.ca. Tickets are not tax deductible. All orders will be processed and fulfilled under the supervision of Deloitte LLP, 400 Applewood Crescent, Suite 500, Vaughan, ON L4K 0C3. Purchasers do not need their ticket(s) in hand in order to be included in the respective draw(s).  No refunds will be issued after commencement of draws.

All draws will take place under the supervision of Deloitte LLP, at their offices at 400 Applewood Crescent, Suite 500, Vaughan, ON L4K 0C3.  VIP, Super Early Bonus, Early Bonus and Early Bird draws will commence at 9:00 a.m. Final and Grand Prize draws will commence at 8:00 a.m.  Weekend or draws scheduled on a holiday will be made on the preceding Friday.  After each draw selection, the ticket number is recorded and the token is returned to the drum, to be eligible for all subsequent draws. Spin frequency will be based on the quantity and value of each prize category at which time the drum will be rotated a minimum of one full rotation. All prizes must be accepted as awarded. No substitutions except where a cash alternative option is specified. In the event, you have won a prize with a cash alternative, you will be notified in writing and a waiver form will need to be signed and returned to SickKids Foundation before receiving the prize(s). Prize(s) must be claimed within one year after the final draw date. Unclaimed prizes will be reported and a charitable allocation will be approved by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario. Prizes may not be exactly as shown. Please allow a minimum of four weeks for delivery of cheques. The liability of the licensee of this lottery shall be limited to the purchase price of the ticket.

††,  Prizing Details:

VIP Draws (5 prize draws) consisting of five (5) draws for $10,000 cash.  VIP draw will take place on January 5, 2017.   To be eligible for the VIP draw, tickets must be purchased by midnight, December 16, 2016.

Super Early Bonus Draw (1 prize draw) consisting of one (1) draw for a 2017 Jaguar F-Type Coupe S (valued at $112,326.15) or take $100,000 cash. Super Early Bonus draw will take place on January 26, 2017.  To be eligible for the Super Early Bonus draw, tickets must be purchased by midnight, January 13, 2017. 

Early Bonus Draw (1 prize draw) consisting of a one (1) draw for a 2017 Porsche 718 Cayman PDK (valued at $79,665.06) or take $75,000 cash.  Early Bonus draw will take place on February 15, 2017.  To be eligible for the Early Bonus draw tickets must be purchased by midnight February 3, 2017.

Early Bird Draws (6496 prize draws) consisting of one (1) draw for a 2017 Mercedes-Benz C300 4MATIC Coupe (valued at $68,274.60) or take $50,000 cash. There will also be 6,495 winners of one free SickKids Lottery ticket.  All Early Bird draws will take place March 13 through March 14, 2017. To be eligible for the Early Bird Draws, tickets must be purchased by midnight, February 24, 2017.

Grand Prize Draw (1 prize draw) consisting of one (1) draw for $1,000,000.00 cash. Grand Prize draw will take place on March 22, 2017.  To be eligible for all Grand Prize draw, tickets must be purchased by midnight March 10, 2017.  Please allow a minimum of four weeks for delivery of cheques. 

Vehicle Prize Draws (2 prize draws) consisting of (1) draw with the winner choosing from one of the following prize options:  2017 Porsche Macan (valued at $62,839.01); or 2017 Ford Mustang Coupe GT Premium (valued at 58,294.55) or take $50,000 cash; and one (1) draw with the winner choosing from one of the following prize options: 2017 Mini Cooper S Convertible (valued at $41,064.43); or 2017 Ford Escape SE-FWD (valued at $40,325.29) or take $35,000 cash.  Vehicle prize draws will take place on March 22, 2017.  To be eligible for the vehicle prize draws, tickets must be purchased by midnight March 10, 2017.

Vacation Prize Draws (2 prize draws) provided by Away by TTI Travel.  Two (2) travel gift cards valued at $10,000 each will be awarded.  Vacation Prize draws will take place on March 22, 2017.  To be eligible for vacation prize draws, tickets must be purchased before midnight March 10, 2017.

Final Minor Draws (49,405 prize draws) including electronics, merchandise and gift card prize draws will begin on March 22, 2017 until completion on or before March 29, 2017, with prizing of highest retail value being drawn first to the prize with the lowest value being drawn last. To be eligible for all final minor draws, tickets must be purchased by midnight March 10, 2017.   After each draw selection, winning tokens are recorded and returned to the drum, to be eligible for all other subsequent draws. Spin frequency will be based on the quantity and value of each prize category at which time the drum will be rotated a minimum of one full rotation.  A list of all minor prizing can be viewed online or in the printed lottery brochure.

50/50 Draw One (1) prize will be awarded in the 50/50 Draw portion of the SickKids Lottery.  The total value of the prize drawn is dependent on the total number of tickets sold.  The minimum payout value of the prize drawn is $250,000.  One 50/50 draw will take place on March 22, 2017.  To be eligible for the 50/50 Draw prize, tickets must be purchased before midnight on March 10, 2017.

In the event that all tickets are sold by February 3, 2017, then all Early Bonus, Early Bird, Grand Prize, Final and 50/50 Draws will commence on February 15, 2017, until completion on or before February 28, 2017.  All draws will take place under the supervision of Deloitte LLP, at their offices at 400 Applewood Crescent, Suite 500, Vaughan, ON L4K 0C3 commencing at 8:00 a.m.

All vehicle prizes are supplied within the Province of Ontario.  It is the responsibility of the winner to license and insure vehicles from the time of their ownership. 

All Away by TTI Travel winners have the choice of any itinerary and flights to which Away by TTI Travel provides services subject to availability at the time of booking.  Black-out periods may apply (vary by destination).   Return economy airfare from Toronto.  Prizes are not-transferrable and cannot be applied to existing travel arrangements, cannot be extended or redeemed for cash. Changes not permitted once reservation is confirmed.  Travel must be completed by March 31, 2018.  Please book at least 90 days prior to departure to ensure availability.

All winners will be notified by mail with complete instructions on how to redeem their prize. Those winners who have won major prizes may also be contacted by phone. On April 10, 2017, there will be an advertisement in The Toronto Sun announcing all major prize winners.  In addition, a complete list of winners will be searchable online at www.SickKidsLottery.ca.  A printed list will be available from SickKids Foundation upon request, or ticket purchasers may call 1-888-501-KIDS (5437) to find out if they are a winner. In the event there is a discrepancy between the winners list posted in the Toronto Sun and that posted on www.SickKidsLottery.ca or the Deloitte LLP final report, the Deloitte LLP report will always be considered final. Winners agree to the use of their name and photo for publicity purposes by SickKids Foundation. SickKids Foundation respects the privacy of its lottery supporters; we do not sell, rent, or trade our supporter lists. The information we collect is used to process lottery ticket purchases, keep our supporters informed about the activities of The Hospital and Foundation, and ask for their support for our mission to improve children’s health. Cash and Trip Lottery Rules and Regulations

By purchasing a ticket, the purchaser acknowledges that he/she has read, understands and agrees to these rules.  Any and all inquiries on the conduct, prizing and procedures of the Calendar Lottery are to be made to the Foundation prior to the purchase of the ticket.  Participants must be at least 18 years of age.  Tickets cannot be ordered in the name of a minor.  Tickets must be ordered and mailed in the province of Ontario.  Only tickets that have been paid for and/or have been verified as paid for are eligible to be entered for the respective draw/draws.

 

Tickets

A maximum of 205,000 Calendar ticket numbers will be sold.  Ticket numbers will be issued in sequential order.  Total number of prizes to be awarded is 3,050.  Total value of all prizes is $380,000.00 (inclusive of all applicable taxes and freight). In the event of an invalid cheque or credit card payment, ticket numbers issued will be considered void and you will be notified in writing.  Prices are 5 for $20, 15 for $50 and 25 for $75.  One calendar ticket will be issued and will list 5, 15 or 25 Calendar ticket numbers.   Calendar ticket numbers will be sequenced beginning with 5.

Weekly Transat Travel Vouchers (4 prizes) consisting of four (4) Transat Travel Vouchers valued at $2,500 each (total prize value per weekly winner is $10,000).  All Transat travel voucher winners need to be redeemed with Transat Interline department with contact information located on the back of the voucher, travel vouchers are valid on new bookings only, any additional costs above the travel voucher value is the responsibility of the winner, travel vouchers can be used towards any Transat air only or package holidays and can be combined with Early Booking Bonus or other promotional offers, travel vouchers are non-transferable if lost or stolen and cannot be converted into cash, original travel vouchers will be accepted only; fax and photocopies will not be accepted, travel is valid and does not expire, in the event a prize winner is unable to redeem the prize as awarded, Transat or any parties associated with this prize will provide neither compensation nor substitutions.

Draw Control

Ticket fulfilment and draw control by Deloitte LLP.  The official records held by Deloitte LLP will be deemed as the final and accurate record.

Ticket Sales Deadline: midnight, Friday, March 10, 2017.

 

Prize Draws:  Draws will occur based on the April 2017 calendar.  On days where more than one draw takes place, the prizes will be drawn from highest to lowest in value.  Daily prize draws will take place each day April 1 through April 30, 2017. Draws scheduled for a weekend or on a holiday will be made the preceding Friday.  Weekly prize draws will take place on Friday, April 7, April 14, April 21 and April 28, 2017.

Prize Winner Notification

 

All winners will be notified in writing as to their winnings and how to claim their prize.  Those winners who have won major prizes may also be contacted by phone.  Daily and weekly winners will be posted on our website SickKidsLottery.ca every day from April 1 through April 30, 2017.

 

A printed winners list is available upon request after May 5, 2017 by calling 1-877-216-2598 or email SickKidsLotterycs@deloitte.ca.

 

Prize Claim

Prizes will be awarded to the individual(s) named on the Official Calendar Ticket.

Any prizes which are not claimed shall be secured for a period of one year from the date of the draw.  Unclaimed prizes will be reported and a charitable allocation will be approved by the licensing body.
