Q1. How can I purchase SickKids Lottery ticket(s)?

There are four ways to order a ticket:

  • Order online today! Click here to order now!
  • Call the toll-free telephone number 1-877-232-KIDS (5437), or (416) 514 2135 in the Greater Toronto Area, and use a credit card.
  • Complete the ticket order form included in the brochure and mail it in the self-addressed, postage paid return mailer along with a cheque, money order or a credit card number (Visa, MasterCard, American Express).
  • Fax the completed ticket order form with a credit card number (Visa, MasterCard, American Express) to 416-601-6533.

Q2. How much does a SickKids Lottery ticket cost?

The SickKids Lottery offers the following ticket bundles:

  • 1 ticket for $100
  • 2 tickets for $175
  • 3 tickets for $225
  • 5 tickets for $300
  • 7 tickets for $375
  • 10 tickets for $500
  • 20 tickets for $900 – Best Value!

Q3. How much does a 50/50 Draw ticket cost?

The SickKids Lottery offers the following 50/50 Draw ticket bundles:

  • 3 for $15

  • 10 for $25

  • 30 for $50

  • 100 for $100

  • 200 for $150 – Best Value!

50/50 Draw tickets can only be ordered in conjunction with SickKids Lottery tickets. The minimum payout is $500,000. If your SickKids Lottery ticket becomes invalid, all 50/50 Draw tickets associated with your SickKids Lottery ticket will also become invalid. SickKids 50/50 Draw tickets may be purchased in the same order as SickKids Lottery tickets, or separately, up until the close of sales for the SickKids Lottery. The deadline for sales is midnight September 17, 2021.

Q4. How much do SickKids Cash Calendar tickets cost?

The SickKids Cash Calendar offers the following ticket bundles:

  • 5 tickets for $25
  • 15 tickets for $50
  • 25 tickets for $75
  • 50 tickets for $100
  • 100 tickets for $150 – Best value!

 

The SickKids Cash Calendar tickets can only be ordered in conjunction with SickKids Lottery tickets. If your SickKids Lottery ticket becomes invalid, all Cash Calendar tickets associated with your SickKids Lottery ticket will also become invalid. SickKids Cash Calendar tickets may be purchased in the same order as SickKids Lottery Tickets, or separately, up until the close of sales for the SickKids Lottery. The deadline for sales is midnight September 17, 2021.

There are 450,000 Cash Calendar Lottery ticket numbers available for sale.

Q5. What is the SickKids Cash Calendar?

The SickKids Cash Calendar is an add on game with cash prizes given away every day in October 2021.

Q6. Is the SickKids Cash Calendar a 12-month calendar?

No. The Cash Calendar ticket qualifies you to win each day in October 2021.

Q7. How old do you have to be to order a SickKids Lottery ticket?

You must be at least 18 years old at the time of ordering. Tickets cannot be purchased in the name of a minor.

Q8. Can I order a ticket if I do not live in Ontario?

The lottery is intended for Ontario residents. Purchasers must be in the province of Ontario to order tickets.

Q9. How long does it take to receive my ticket(s)?

Your tickets should arrive anywhere from 4 – 21 days after you order, depending on the selected delivery method.

Emailed Tickets: should arrive via email within four (4) business days of the order date.

Mailed Tickets: should arrive via mail within three (3) weeks of the order date.

If you have not received your ticket(s) within the time period noted above, please contact Customer Service at 1-877-216-2598, or 416-977-9151 in the Greater Toronto Area, for a replacement ticket(s).

Q10. What if I lose, haven’t received, or there is an error on my ticket?

You do not need your ticket to claim your prize. Your name, address and phone number are recorded in the database along with your ticket number, which is proof enough. If you would like a replacement ticket, please call 1-877-216-2598 or 416-977-9151 in the Greater Toronto Area.

Depending on the value, winners may be required to provide identification prior to receiving their prize.

Q11. Will a charitable tax receipt be issued for my ticket(s)?

No. According to Canada Revenue Agency regulations, charity lottery ticket purchases are considered entertainment, not a direct donation. Therefore, we are unable to issue a tax receipt for SickKids Lottery ticket(s), 50/50 Draw ticket(s) or Cash Calendar ticket(s). Similarly, any prize won in the Lottery is not taxable.

Q13. I am trying to order my ticket online. Why isn’t it going through?

You must be in the province of Ontario to order a ticket. Some internet providers, although servicing an Ontario residence, are not registered in Ontario. As such, this may result in an error in processing your order. If you are in Ontario and are unable to use our online ordering, please call 1-877-232-KIDS (5437), or 416-514-2135 in the Greater Toronto Area, and we would be pleased to process your order.

Q14. Can I cancel my SickKids Lottery ticket(s) and get a refund?

SickKids Lottery, Cash Calendar, and 50/50 Draw ticket(s) may be cancelled prior to the commencement of the draws and will be refunded for the amount that was paid for the tickets. Once draws have begun, no refunds are permitted.

If your SickKids Lottery ticket is cancelled or becomes invalid, all 50/50 Draw tickets and Cash Calendar tickets associated with your SickKids Lottery ticket will become invalid.

Q15. How many tickets will be sold?

There are 150,000 SickKids Lottery tickets and they are available until September 17, 2021 or while supplies last.

There are 450,000 SickKids Cash Calendar tickets and they are available until September 17, 2021 or while supplies last.

There is no limit to the number of 50/50 Draw tickets available.

You must have purchased at least one SickKids Lottery ticket (in the current campaign) to purchase 50/50 Draw tickets and/or Cash Calendar tickets.

Q16. I didn’t order SickKids Cash Calendar or 50/50 Draw tickets when I ordered my SickKids Lottery ticket(s). Can I still purchase tickets for these draws?

Yes, you can place your SickKids Cash Calendar and 50/50 Draw ticket order at any time prior to the deadline of midnight, September 17, 2021 or until the SickKids Lottery or Cash Calendar are sold out. Q17. What is the Grand Prize in the SickKids Lottery?

There are 10 Grand Prizes in the SickKids Lottery including $1 Million CASH!

Q18. How many prizes will be awarded in the SickKids Lottery?

The total number of prizes to be awarded is 67,192

Q19. What is the total value of all prizing in the SickKids Lottery?

The total value of all prizes is $4,365,122 (MSRP), inclusive of all applicable taxes and freight.

Q20. If I win a prize in the SickKids Lottery, can I accept the cash value instead?

Yes, when a cash alternative is offered. You choose either the prize or the cash alternative as listed. If there is no cash option, prizes must be accepted as awarded. See Rules and Regulations for more details.

Q21. If I win the VIP, Super Early Bonus, Early Bonus or Early Bird Prize, do I still qualify for the other prize draws?

Yes. Every winning ticket, including the SickKids Lottery and the Cash Calendar, goes back into the draw so you can win more than once.

Q22. What are the prizes in the SickKids Cash Calendar

There are thirty-one (31) Daily Cash Prizes of $5,000 and 155 Daily Cash Prizes of $1,000- that’s 6 winners every day throughout the month of October. There are also four (4) $10,000 Weekly Prizes, one every Thursday and two (2) $50,000 Grand Prizes.

Q23. What is the total value of all prizing in the SickKids Cash Calendar?

The total value of all Cash Calendar prizes is $450,000.

Q24. What are the prizes in the SickKids 50/50 Draw?

There is one cash prize of 50% of all ticket sales.

The minimum guaranteed prize value is $500,000 and there is no limit to how big the prize can grow.

Q25. Who cannot purchase a ticket?

The following persons are prohibited from purchasing SickKids Lottery tickets or obtaining benefit from the prize offering: SickKids Foundation staff and Board of Directors; The Hospital for Sick Children Executive Team and Board of Trustees; partners and employees of MNP LLP and its affiliates; employees of registered gaming suppliers; and, members of the same household of each of the above.

Q27. What is the deadline and draw date for the SickKids 50/50 Draw?

The 50/50 Draw ticket sales deadline is midnight, September 17, 2021 or while SickKids Lottery tickets are available. 50/50 Draw tickets must be purchased in conjunction with a SickKids Lottery ticket.

The 50/50 Draw will take place on September 28, 2021 at approximately 11:00 a.m. following the Grand Prize draws for the SickKids Lottery, under the supervision of MNP LLP.

Q28. What is the deadline and draw date for the SickKids Cash Calendar?

The Cash Calendar ticket sales deadline is midnight, September 17, 2021 or while SickKids Lottery tickets are available. Cash Calendar tickets must be purchased in conjunction with a SickKids Lottery ticket.

All 192 draws will take place on September 28, 2021 at approximately 11:00 a.m. following the SickKids Lottery Grand Prize and 50/50 prize draws, under the supervision of MNP LLP. Winners will be posted every weekday throughout the month of October.

All prizes must be accepted as awarded. Please allow four weeks to receive prize cheques.

Winners

Q29. How will the winners be notified?

All winners will be notified in writing as to what they have won and how to claim their prize. All winning ticket numbers will be posted on SickKidsLottery.ca. VIP, Super Early Bonus and Early Bonus Prizes will be posted to the website by 1:00 p.m. the business day following the respective draws. Winning ticket numbers for the Early Bird Prizes will be posted by 1:00 p.m. on September 28, 2021, along with a searchable list. Winning ticket numbers for the Final and Grand Prizes will be posted on October 1, 2021. Winners may also be contacted by telephone.

Prizes will be awarded to the primary purchaser listed on the ticket. It is the responsibility of the primary ticket holder to share win information and prize(s) with any other person(s) associated with winning ticket(s). A printed list of prize winners will be available upon request after October 1, 2021 by calling 1-877-216-2598 or 416-977-9151 in the Greater Toronto Area or by emailing SickKidslotterycs@mnp.ca.

Q30. Will my name be publicized if I am a winner?

Yes, in accordance with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario, the winners must be collected in a list for reporting purposes (including ticket number, name and city). There will be a full, searchable winners list on the SickKids Lottery. SickKids Lottery reserves the right to publish the name, city and photograph of any winner. Winner information may be released to the news media and may be used in advertising for the Hospital for Sick Children, SickKids Lottery or SickKids Foundation.

Q31. How can I get a complete list of winners?

  • By calling 1-877-216-2598, or 416-977-9151 in the Greater Toronto Area, to check a lottery number.

Q32. How do I claim my prize?

All winners will receive a letter from the SickKids Lottery providing details on how to claim their prize. All prizes will be shipped free of charge to the prize winner’s address. If you have not received a letter, please call Customer Service at 1-877-216-2598 or 416-977-9151 in the Greater Toronto Area.  Major prize winners will also be contacted by phone and arrangements on claiming their prize will be made.

Q33. How long do I have to claim my prize?

We ask that all winners claim their prizes within three (3) months if possible. Prizes must be claimed within six (6) months of the final draw date.

Q34. What is your privacy policy?

SickKids Foundation respects the privacy of its lottery supporters; we do not sell, rent or trade our supporter lists. The information we collect is used to process lottery ticket purchases, keep our supporters informed about the activities of the hospital and Foundation, and ask for their support for our mission to improve children’s health. If at any time you wish to be removed from our contact list, call us at 416-813-6166 and we will accommodate your request.

SickKids Lottery Membership

Q38. What is the SickKids Lottery Membership Program?

Members of the SickKids Lottery Membership Program are pre-registering for future SickKids lotteries. Members will be notified at the beginning of each SickKids Lottery to confirm their ticket order (which will default to your order from the previous lottery). Your ticket order will then be processed and tickets emailed – ensuring that members are eligible for ALL draws.

Q39. How can I become a Member of the SickKids Lottery?

Becoming a member is easy and free. Simply check the “Yes please. I would like to become a SickKids member and never miss a draw.” box when you order your tickets. You can also email SickKidsLotterycs@MNP.ca OR call 1-877-216-2598, or 416-977-9151 in the Greater Toronto Area, and an agent would be happy to register you.

Q40. What are the benefits of being a SickKids Lottery member?

SickKids Lottery tickets often sell out early. Becoming a member will ensure you get your tickets before they are sold out and that you don’t miss any of the draws.

Q41. Will I be notified before my credit card is charged in future lotteries?

Yes. All SickKids Lottery members will receive advance notice about their ticket order and given time to make changes or cancel.

Q42. How will I get my tickets for the next SickKids Lottery?

Your tickets will arrive via email but not until after we have sent you advance notice that your credit card will be charged.

Q43. Will 50/50 Draw and Cash Calendar Lottery tickets also be included in the membership program?

Yes, your Membership order will match your current order. Your notification at the beginning of future lotteries will outline your selection and give you an opportunity to make changes.

Q44. How many SickKids Lotteries are there?

There are two (2) SickKids lotteries per year. One in the summer and one in the winter.

Q45. How can I update or cancel my SickKids Lottery membership?
